Hey,

I'm experimenting with the layout of my blog archives and I'm having some difficulty with the customizer settings. It feels a bit more limited than the rest of the theme settings.

I'd like to try my blog archives arranged so the featured image is to the left, and the title and excerpt is to the right.

EXAMPLE:

I'd also like to know if it's possible to place the post data over the featured image, like the example below:

EXAMPLE:

Are either of these possible?

The first example is achievable. Go into the Featured Image settings in the Customizer, and set them to display above the title.

Then give them a width and align them to the left.

Let me know if you need more info :)

Thanks Tom.

I was able to get something similar to the first example following your instructions, but adjusting the spacing between the elements was just too cumbersome.

I ended up rebuilding my archive pages with a page builder + post grid element. 10x easier for me to get looking how I want.

Nothing against GeneratePress on this one, I know WordPress doesn't offer the most control over archive pages. I've always found that odd, though.

Glad you got something working :)
