Hello
1. When I publish a new post it does not display at the top, it ends up in the middle of all the posts. One particular post seems to be stuck at the top and I have checked to see if it has stick to top checked and it does not. How do I fix that?
2. I can't get recent post widgets to work on the sidebar, I'm getting a bunch of errors that I don't understand.

What do I do?
Hi there,
might be best to deal with #2 first as that may be affecting the post loop.
It looks like that plugins isn't working with the new Block Widgets. Until they fix that you may want to revert to classic widgets. This article explains how:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/disable-the-block-editor-in-widgets/
I see the code but I don't know where or how to add it
Hi Marjorie,
The code in the article is a PHP snippet, you can use one of the methods mentioned in the below article to add it to your site:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-php/
I installed the code snippet plugin and activated and added the code but I'm still getting same error
What's your widget editor look like? Is it still with the block editor or it's back to classic editor?
it's back to classic editor
I got it but the thumbnails were extra big so it didn't look right. The text is extremely close to the left side. Have a look and see what I mean https://marjorieduncan.com/blog
You have this CSS which made the widgets in sidebar have no padding:

And this CSS you added set the font size:
https://www.screencast.com/t/jQ3XyyGK
So how do I fix it? I don't know what to do
I don't know what you were trying to achieve with these CSS or whether you still need them.
So can you try remove these CSS first and see if there's any changes you don't want?
I removed the CSS but my recently published post is not showing up first
Please help
Hi Marjorie,
I'm not exactly sure if something is messing up with the post query of the sidebar list OR the most recent post you're pertaining to is published.
If we check the page, the post list on the sidebar matches the post items on the blog roll meaning both are displaying the "recent posts" but it's quite difficult to determine if we don't know what posts are on the backend to be sure it's an issue w/ post loop query or a matter of unpublished post.
That said, any chance you can let us check the backend to confirm a few things? You can use the private information text field to provide the details. (Ideally, clone it to a staging site and let us do tests with it so the live site is unaffected)
Note: The post list on the sidebar is a third-party plugin. We can try checking it but we can't guarantee a fix for it as it's not something Tom developed. It may be best to get support directly from the plugin developer. :)
After I removed the CSS I published a test post to see if it worked and the test post was not listed at the top.
I want to use some parts of dispatcher theme on my site and was told to do a staging site but I have no idea how to do it. When you go into the backend to test the blog issue can you clone with a staging site can you please use dispatcher theme.
Thanks
Please ignore the previous message in this topic I'm cloning the site and then I'll reopen a new ticket.
