Block templates?

Hi guys,

I am a massive fan of GeneratePress. I am using the theme on nearly all our company websites, and intend on using it for every site the company I work for builds going forward. Currently, we use GeneratePress + Elementor page builder. However, we are now trying to transition away from Elementor as much as possible and (hopefully) utilise GenerateBlocks whenever we can. This is primarily because of page speed issues, and core web vitals Google update coming in May 2021.

The problem I am encountering so far is that I can't find a way to easily templatise my page layouts without using Elementor. I currently use GP elements as much as I can for global elements such as headers and footers. But I can't find a solution for the actual internal content on each page. Elementor does provide this option, and it is a massive time-saver, because you don't have to edit every single page if you need to change (for example) column widths.

Am I missing something? Or is this something that will be available in GenerateBlocks Premium?

Thanks Leo! I think we will definitely be adding GPBlocks Pro to our stack.

Just to be clear, do the templates in GenerateBlocks Pro have the same functionality as elementor templates? i.e. can you control the appearance of "child" pages by just changing the template?

I'm not familiar with Elementor unfortunately.

can you control the appearance of “child” pages by just changing the template?

GB's templates don't control how the child pages work.

It simply allows you to click and import the content you want.

Here is a quick demo if it helps:

Let me know :)
