Block Element - Content

Hi there,
I have a question relating to the Element Blocks - Content Template.
Is it possible to use a content template to display (a custom post type) featured posts on the home page?
I am using them to display tours on this page - https://dev.scenichelicopters.com.au/tours but would like to show the same format on the home page (below the Hero Image). Am I able to reuse the same content templates?
I am trying to use WP Show Posts at the moment but it is not quite working how I want, ideally I would like for them to be the same as on the tour page.
Many thanks,
Spencer

This isn't possible as Block Element - Content Template only makes a template for the default loops generated by the theme. It can't place an actual query loop. :)
That's actually why post grid plugins are needed for then.
But this will change in the future as Tom plans to merge WP Show Posts with GenerateBlocks which is targeted for release on Q1 2022. GenerateBlocks will have its post grid block. :)
This way, we can style the post loops so we can atleast copy how we styled default loops with the Block Element - Content template for uniformity in design.
Hi Elvin,
Thanks for your reply.
Ok no problem - so would WPShow Posts be the best option for the time being?
Thanks

Support-wise, yes, as it's within the products we support (in case it's needed).
But if you're completely fine on your own w/ the post grids then any post grid plugin that serves the purpose is fine. :D
