[Support request] Block Content Template, Location = Homepage

Hi there,

I think the YouTube Lyte plugin uses Javascript to swap out the ‘placeholder’ on load, which it cannot do for the ajax loaded 2nd video.

Have a word with the Plugin author, Frank has quality support and knows the theme well, so he should be able to advise if the ‘loading’ can be made to work with infinite scroll.

“you’ll have to have ensure the infinite scroll JS calls ly.te() to render newly added vids and all will be fine Wolfram 🙂”

I don’t really get, what he means. Still waiting for more details.

Meanwhile, do you have an idea, which knob is next?

So, here’s Frank’s definite reply:

“I’m afraid you’ll have to ask the question to GP; the issue is by default LYTE acts on the onLoad event (or domContentLoaded), but those don’t get triggered when doing infinite scroll, which is why some “glue” is needed to make sure the ly.te() gets called after the infinite scroll JS got more content.”

Seems it can not be solved without custom development, sorry for that, but it’s beyond the scope of this support forum. 🙁

One day, GPP will infinitely scroll dynamic blocks. Until that day, pagination is not that bad.

And one day, GB content templates will work with archive / list content on static locations, e.g. the homepage.
