Black bar left of post

This is for a blog front page. I created an new element > Element Type: Block > Location: Front Page > Element Type: Hook > Hook Name: Before Main Content. Then added a headline H4 text with Black Background. Works perfectly. However when I switch to columns the h5 text shifts to the left and makes a very wide black box. Does the same with make first post featured. Any simple fix?
Hi there,
Any chance you can link us to the site in question?
You can use the private information field:

Let me know :)
Here is the info
Try creating a block element page hero instead:

Tried your suggestion, I find no way to place a single bar across all 3 columns.
Hi there,
In your original method, change the hook to after_header - this will keep it out of the main container.
Thanks!
