What are the best typography practices of GeneratePress to make our website mobile friendly especially for Google search console url testing.

Last couple of weeks, we were submitting our blog posts urls for GSC but there was no problem regarding indexing issues.

But Last 1 to 2 weeks, we started receiving indexing errors for mobile friendliness issues.

We thought we made a mistake with GeneratePress code. I’m not a techy nor knowing how to code.

    To sum up:

We are facing 2 issues now with Google search console with GeneratePress typography structure.

    1. Mobile friendly errors
    2. Text is too small for users (we have 18 pixel for body content)

Hope you help us fix this issue!

Waiting for your support and suggestions.

    Best regards

    Hi Karim,

Can you try increasing the font size of the menu items? The sub menus are just 14px which seems a bit small . The suggested minimum font size by Google is 12px however, this depends on that font you’re using. We suggest 16px as stated in the article provided by Leo. Also, try adding spacing to your menu items.

As for the “best” font. The best fonts are System fonts in terms of performance. In terms of mobile friendliness, any font should be good provided that they are neat, legible and easy to read. So for instance, a great font would be the commonly used Arial.

If someone uses the Comic Sans font on a website about finance and earning, it is not serious. When I see such a font on the website, I don’t even read it, but just close it.
Get interested in fonts such as: Inter, Open Sans, Lato, Merriweather. You can download them locally from GeneratePress or install a plugin for local Google font storage.

PS. Seriously, change this font because it’s a shame 🙂
