[Support request] Best social media plugin

Just wondering if there is a recommended social share plugin that is compatible with GP?

Hi there,

This Social media plugin is made by Tom.
https://generatepress.com/lightweight-social-icons/

It still works but it’s fairly dated.

We don’t exactly have any inclination to a specific social media plugin but if the plugin you’re going to use is known to work with the default WordPress themes, it’s should work with GeneratePress as well.

I’d suggest searching the web for any social plugin top 10 lists and try them all. See what you like best. 🙂

@Elvin It would be nice if Lightweight Social Icons could at least tested with the current version of WP. Last update was a year ago and only tested with 5.4.

LSI still works with the latest version of WP – yep i agree we could push through a screen image update or something to get that WP org flag updated and may be something we do when we get time.

You can try Grow Social – Social Pug: https://wordpress.org/plugins/social-pug/.
I have this plugin on GP Premium and works very well, very easy and fast (with cache plugin it is very fast loading).

And another option is also very good – without any social plugin: https://www.wplogout.com/create-social-sharing-buttons-in-generatepress-without-plugin/. I tried this, you can style these buttons, and it is running very well.
