Background video issue

I used this guide for a background video and it's working fine: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/background-video/

However this was with the video hosted myself. I have since got a Vimeo premium account which allows direct embedding. I assume this will be far better than hosting it myself.

However when I try to use that link in the same way I just get a blank screen. Any ideas?

EDIT: Blank screen UNLESS I'm logged into the website and then it works. But logged out it's a blank screen.
