I want my page header background to be positioned at center center instead of center top. I can change this in the css, but then if I activate parallax it resets to center top as soon as the page is scrolled. Is there a way to use your parallax but have the background start centered?

    Hi Ryan,

Unfortunately the parallax javascript doesn’t support the image starting in the center – I’m looking into a fix for that.

Thanks, center background position as a choice might be useful for everyone. For now I’m just disabling the parallax effect and it works fine.

I was wondering if you figured out a way to position the background with the parallax? Thanks.

    Hi Ryan,

Not yet, but we’re hoping to get a fix into our next version.

    Thanks!

    Is this fix available yet?

Unfortunately not – it’s not an easy problem to solve.

Parallax adjusts the background position in order to achieve the effect. I haven’t found a way yet to preserve the original position and apply the parallax to it.

    I’m still looking πŸ™‚

What about changing background position on page header without parallax?

    Hi Tom,

Any update on the parallax with center center background image position?

    Thanks.
