Background images don't work with webp

Hi,
I cannot get the background images of the hero section to be displayed via the webp format.
The other images on the page I can see them with the webp format

Hi there,
most image optimization plugins won't convert CSS Background images to WebP - you would need to check with the plugin author if that is possible or not.
do you know any plugins that do this?
I believe Shortpixel has the option to swap out css background-image properties.
To be honest, unless you have 100's of background images then i wouldn't be bothered about converting them, just optimize the images first.
