Background Image changes size

Hi team,
I am just trying to place a line of Header text, in the left, bottom corner of a Page Banner. I have used a background image and then created a container over this, in which the Heading is placed. The default position is in the middle of the banner, but when I try to move the position of the Heading down and to the left using the Spacing > Padding or Spacing > Margin, the background image gets bigger?

How do I simply position my Heading text, without distorting the background image out of proportion?
