Elisabeth
Hi there
I’ve created a reusable block for a pages where the background of the whole page is blue, but the reusable block background colour is orange (it looks better than it sounds, trust me!).
The reusable block is as follows:
container, with a two-column grid inside it, with two containers (one in each grid column) containing either text or text and a button – and the text is headline text.
The outer container (the first one in the list in the list above) has a background set to orange, and the colours of all the other grids/boxes/text blocks are left at default.
I highlight the outer container and save it as a reusable block.
I want to be able to add it to different pages, convert it to a regular block, and then edit/change the content in each regular block. When I create the group of blocks it looks right, and stays looking right while I change it to a reusable block. When I add that reusable block to another page, or even duplicate it on that page it all looks right in the back end, even when I convert them from reusable to regular blocks.
But when I turn it into a regular block AND THEN look on the front end of the site all the orange background to the container disappears and it’s blue.
What am I doing wrong?I believe this is a new error as I created a number of blocks for this particular site which would allow me to put a block of text with a coloured background on a page with a contrasting page background and none of these blocks are working as they used to – all lose the background colour of the container block.

Well, the weird thing is that it actually does keep on doing this in Chrome. The other browsers are fine but in Chrome I have to clear my cache EVERY TIME I reload that page after editing. Feeling very slightly less mortified now.

StaffCustomer SupportChrome caching is a pain in the proverbial….. clearing chrome caches and removing cookies can sometimes fix the issue. Other times, especially as my Mac is rarely ever shutdown, i need to perform a restart to get all that junk it loads into memory out the way…
Worst case in Chrome > Settings > Advanced there is a Reset option – it won’t remove bookmarks etc but will log you out of any sites, and put Chrome back to its default settings…
