hello,
i can't change the backgrount image...the new one doesnt appear...and the old one is still there..

It doesn't look like the background image has been changed.
Can you make sure you've change the background image at pages > home?

And also please clear cache if you are using any cache plugin, including server cache.

i had to quit the classic editor....

Ah right, if you are using classic editor, there'll be some issue with pages built with Gutenberg.
