Avoid duplicate posts on homepage

Hi,

I searched a lot, but I can‘t figure out how to make it work.
Let me explain:

I have a container and in that container are two rows. The first row have two columns and the right column shows two of the latest posts. In the next row are six of the latest posts shown.

How can I avoid that there are no duplicates on the homepage ?

The home page content is all coming from this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/display-post-types/

Is that what you are referring to?

If so you will need to check with the plugin support.

Let me know if I'm missing something here.
