[Resolved] Avery Top Bar Menu, no drop down

I’m using Avery child theme. I have three sub-items listed in my Top Bar Menu, however they are not dropping down upon click or rollover. Nothing seems to be there. Suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Diahann,

In Appearance > GeneratePress, activate Secondary Nav.

Then, go to Appearance > Menus, and assign a menu to the Secondary Nav.

Lastly, go to Appearance > Customize > Layout > Secondary Navigation, and set the Navigation Location to “Above Header”. Reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/secondary-navigation-layout-overview/

As for the Top Bar nav, you can now delete that in Appearance > Widgets.

Perfect. Thanks so much! One more question: can I get my social media icons/links into that secondary bar as well?

The best way is to use SVG icons then you can add the SVG HTML directly into the menu label field 🙂
