Avatar in comments

Avatar setting is actually controlled by WordPress itself in Discussion setting:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Settings_Discussion_Screen

So you've added one in service like Gravatar but it's not showing up?

If so you might have to try disabling all plugins to see if one of them is causing the problem.

The Discussion settings were okay and I did try deactivating all plugins. That did not help. I will go looking for the problem with Wordpress.

Hmm that's strange.

Were the avatars added very recently? And it shows up ok in other platforms?

The problem is that gravatars are not being posted with comments. I see now that the one for my user profile is not loading either.

I tried two computers and three browsers with no change. I also tried turning off all plugins and activating a default theme with no change.

Now I think it may have something to do with the email I am using. I am trying to change the email in the user profile but it will not change. Likewise, the Gravatar website does not seem to be able to send me a confirmation email to change it there. maybe I will give up for now and try again tomorrow.

Okay, got emails fixed. the avatar is working now.
