[Resolved] Author About Boxes On Archive Pages

Hi,

I have two questions about creating author boxes for author archive pages.

I’ve got a columns block, but the left side is bleeding off the container width. How do I fix this?

Also, how do I ensure the GenerateBlocks element I’ve created only applies to one author, and not all?

Hi Jodie,

1. My suggestion would be to use a GB Image Block instead of a WP Image Block. Through this, you can set the width to a specific % value. This prevents overflowing. Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQu4rp7J

Thanks for that.

I’ve changed it to an GB image block and set the width to 90% but the container is still bleeding off to the side.

Any ideas on what I could try? Thanks!

On what view is it “bleeding out”? I tried checking it from my end, and I can’t replicate the issue. Can you try clearing the cache of your browser first? Or, try using a different browser to test.

I’ll make a screenshot to show you what I mean. The edges of the author box aren’t in line with the posts in the archive page.

Can you tell me how I might fix this?

I see. Thank you for clarifying. Can you try adding a 15px left margin to the Container with a Magenta Background? Let us know how it goes.

Hi there,

the Block Element you created to add the Author box, is the Element Type a Page Hero – if it is then in those settings there is a Disable Title option, which should the theme author title and description.
