I have a static front page in my website and I have created another page for blog posts/articles. For some reason the acticles created do no show on the blog page. In Settings/Reading I have made appropriate selections to define the pages. What else should I do? Thanks in advance.
October 11, 2017 at 8:59 am #401383LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Are the articles published?
I just checked all the menu items and none of them is the blog page?
October 11, 2017 at 12:03 pm #401481PäiviThanks Leo. Yes, the articles are published.
In my Admin view to the pages one is assigned for blogs and the title in the list shows “Blog — Posts Page” (the last one on the list).October 11, 2017 at 3:08 pm #401579LeoStaffCustomer SupportHmm I currently see 5 items in the menu and all of them are showing are static pages.
Can you link me to the blog page?

October 19, 2017 at 12:19 am #406062TomLead DeveloperLead DeveloperSorry about that! Not sure how this slipped through.
That’s the admin URL to the post, which we can’t access.
Can you link us to the live blog page (set as the “posts page” in Settings > Reading)?
Thanks!
October 19, 2017 at 1:28 am #406089PäiviThanks, here is the link: http://keyconsulting.fi/blog/
I had previously not added the blog page to the menu because there is no content.
Very grateful if you find out what is not working!October 19, 2017 at 8:28 am #406336LeoStaffCustomer SupportHmm can you give #1 a shot here? https://docs.generatepress.com/article/debugging-tips/
If this doesn’t work can you send us admin access to your site so we can take a look from the back-end?
You can send it through Account Issue here: https://generatepress.com/contact/October 19, 2017 at 10:24 am #406423PäiviI’m thrilled! We are getting there! I deactivated all the plugins except GP and then reactivated them one by one. The one causing the problem is qTranslate, version 2.5.32 by Qian Qin. I am using it because I want to have both a Finnish and an English version of each site, except for the Blog site, which I intend to have only in Finnish.
Now when qTranslate is deactivated, the menu shows both versions of the titles and the contents, one after another – not very nice. Take a look at http://keyconsulting.fi/
Could the problem be that I did not indicate in the blog posts that they are in Finnish (in the code)? Or is the entire plugin as such somehow a problem?
October 19, 2017 at 11:16 am #406453LeoStaffCustomer SupportI would try Polylang or WPML for translator plugin.
October 19, 2017 at 12:13 pm #406487PäiviThanks! I uploaded and installed Polylang and activated it. What are the steps I should take to get it work? Nothing happened automatically.
October 19, 2017 at 12:45 pm #406503LeoStaffCustomer SupportNever used it myself. Just know they are reputable.
Have you checked their instruction?
October 21, 2017 at 11:06 am #407618PäiviIt’s working! I had to re-create the pages and menus because Polylang works very differently from qTranslate. But now the blog page shows the posts and everything else works as well.
Thank you very much for your help, much appreciated!
October 21, 2017 at 11:41 am #407627LeoStaffCustomer SupportNo problem!
