the maximum image size being used on Artic is 800px wide.
The specific image sizes that artic displays is 800px x 400px. But you can use any image ratio size, but we suggest that you keep those sizes consistent.Thanks. That is a helpful start.

Are there any specific sizes for blog images?Artic uses the same size featured image on the Blog/Archives and the Single Post.
