    Hi there,

I’m using a CPT and custom taxonomy (category). The CPT archive page currently displays a list of 60+ items on 7 subpages.

I’d like to replace the list view (and their pagination) with a category grid view.

The example above has been created manually using an Elements Block with Containers, Grid and Headline blocks inside. How can I generate a dynamic grid using a Query Loop block or Element Types like Loop- or Post Meta Template?

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    Best,
    Jan

    Hi Jan,

There’s no such function in GB or GP out of the box.

You will still have to manually build it.

    Hi Ying,

thanks for getting back. Meanwhile, I was able to create the grid manually on a separate page.

Next, I’d like to inject this grid into the relevant Archive Page using a Block Element.

Question: How can I remove the default content of the Archive Page, including the pagination?

    Thanks,
    Jan

You can create a block element, choose loop template as the element type, and assign it to the CPT archive as location.

In the content area of the block element, insert the grid you just created. This content will replace the default loop of the CPT archive 🙂

Great. This did the trick, Ying.

    Many thanks.

PS: I was always wondering what the loop template is all about. Now I know 😉
