Archive Excerpt Count not responding

edit the Block Element - Content Template you're using on your archives.
Select the Dynamic Content Block thats displaying the Excerpt, in the sidebar you can set its Excerpt Length and the Read More options.

So sorry, I have no idea what you are referring to? The only active Element I have is a Global Header Element. If I go into the 'News' Page editor it is empty.
If I go into a Post, I cannot find any of the above? If I try the Customiser it does nothing.

Where is the Block element?
Where is the Content Template?

Aah my bad, i thought you had created the News (Blog) layout using a Block Element Content Template.

OK, so WordPress won't parse content inside a nested block ( eg. Group Block, Container Blocks etc ) when it generates the auto excerpt. Which means you have to add a Manual Excerpt to each of your posts.

No worries. I have added an excerpt to the 'Don't Look Back' Blog, but still it does not present as as an excerpt on the archive page. I also tried changing the Settings > Reading > For each post in a feed, include > to 'Excerpt' and still no go.

Maybe your Block Element Content Template is the way to go after all and could actually be the solution for another issue I face, styling my 'Pods' posts.
Please can you point me in the right direction to create a Post template using the Block Element Content Template?

I will post a new thread for styling Pods Posts if I can't figure it out.
