Applying Merge via Header Element - Having Troubles
5 replies · Started by Brent Wilson on August 7, 2022
I seem to be running into some difficulties when applying merge via a header element.
1. When header element is applied to front page, sticky header doesn't seem to work on that page.
2. When header element is applied to front page, I am having difficulty getting the header background to be transparent.
What might I be doing wrong to cause these issues?
Hi Brent,
Have you tried #1 here?: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/debugging-tips/
Let us know how it goes.
Deactivating plugins other than GP Premium did not seem to resolve the issues.

I see. Thank you for testing.
Do you have the primary nav disabled for the front page? Can you try enabling it?
Primary nav on the front page is enabled. The nav menu items weren't very visible because they were set to white in the color settings for the merge element. I have cleared that setting, so the nav menu items are now clearly visible on the front page.
Do you have custom codes added through functions.php, code snippets, or though hook elements?
