Any Recommendations for a Slider Plugin/Block

I would like to display about a dozen images in a slider within a page on my site. I am gathering that I will need a plugin to make this happen, and I was wondering if anyone in the Generate Press community has a recommendation for a slider plugin that has worked well for them?

Most slider plugins come with quite a hefty impact on performance.
Personally if i have to use a slider plugin the i would opt for MetaSlider:

Of the main ones it is probably the most performant.
If you need anything more fancy then Smart Slider gets a lot of likes.
I honestly don’t need anything fancier than some sort of carousel that just allows you to go next, next, next through the pictures.
Theres lots to choose from, and they all like to compete with each other to add more and more features. Which is annoying when you just want a simple carousel.
MetaSlider does do a carousel
