Annoying Sticky Menu/Scrolling Bug

Hello, All -

I've got a bit of an annoying issue with my sticky menu that I hope someone can fix. You can experience the problem on this page:

Put your mouse over the "Vote" link on the main menu. You'll notice that the background jerks up by a few pixels. This is due to the sudden appearance of a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the window. I don't why this happens but is damn annoying!

Any help much appreciated.

...It's because the "Vote" drop-down menu is wider than the screen - right? So the horizontal scroll-bar appears, which makes the page jerk.... etc...

How can I fix it?!
