    Hey guys,

On a page where you can create sections, is it possible to set up “anchors” to move to the particular section based on which one you select. Here’s an example of what I mean:

    http://www.wahoofitness.com/devices/bike-computers

There is a secondary menu in the middle of the page that goes to a particular section based on which one you click. I like how it smoothly slides down the page too as opposed to jumping like with most anchors. Is that possible with GP?

    – Thanks!

    Hi Dave,

You can actually add a custom ID to each section then you can use them for anchors.

As for smooth scrolling, a plugin like this might help:

    Let me know.

    Hi Leo,

first of all I ´d like to say that I really appreciate GeneratePress and your excellent customer support. Great work!

I built a “one pager” with several sections. For the smooth scrolling effect I installed “Page scroll to ID” and everything is fine – except the color of the links: Every link in the menu which points to an anchor within the one pager seems to be a current item. That´s why nearly all menu items are highlighted with the color for current items.

    What should I do?

Thanks for our response and best wishes from Germany!

    Hi Mirko,

Glad you are enjoying GP 🙂

Could you try this solution here to see if it works?

If not are you able to provide a link to your site? Thanks!

I’m a novice here. I have the page adress http://klaresding.de/blog2/?page_id=29. I would like to jump from a button at the head of that page to a section with the Custom ID “Events” lower on that page. What would be the exact URL I need to provide for the button?

    Thanks
    Rudolf

    Hi there,

It should be in the format of: siteURL/#ID

If you need further assistance it’s best to open a new topic.

    Thanks!
