I first wanted to thank you all, since 2 months I am part of the Generatepress community and I am amazed by the job you guys do. Well done.
Excellent Service and patience – I feel home 🙂

Now to my question:

Do you have any experience regarding the usage of an AMP Plug with Generatepress.
In one of the posts Fernando already recommended amp-for-generatepress, but:

1. Does it really help the SEO?
2. Is it really with the responsive pages nowerdays necessary?
3. Would you guys recommend it?

Hi there,

my own personal view, I would not use AMP.

I do not see it has any real performance advantages today.
And its no longer the only format supported in the Google News feed, which was key for news agencies that published content on a daily if not hourly basis.

In addition to that, i don’t like Googles attempt to exert more control over the web with proprietary technologies.
