Aloha – so excited to get into GenerateBlocks – I fear I may be jumping the gun π
Wondering how to get the Post Title and meta info into my post’s GB container.
Right now the best I can get it is to have it floating outside, displayed by default (Title) and by settings (Date) in the customizer.
Any feedback appreciated π

May 19, 2020 at 8:02 pm #1293032LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
There isn’t a built-in way to do this.
Not sure why you would want to do that either?
Title and meta should be handled by the theme and not GB so you don’t have to add them as content everytime.
Just need to make sure your content padding and container width in the customizer matches what you have in GB.
Also I’m looking at your example and not sure why you need to use GB for that?
May 19, 2020 at 8:09 pm #1293036WilliamAloha Leo – great hearing from you.
“Not sure why you need to use GB for that?” … what exactly?
I’m supposed to use GB to build my Posts right? Or do I have it wrong? Very possible. π
My apologies Leo – brand new to the Post side of WP.
I click New Post and I’m staring at Gutenburg/GB – figured I was supposed to start using them.
Any steering in the right direction you can offer would be sincerely appreciated π

I’m referring to the post title and entry meta here – these things should be handled by the theme itself which it already does automatically.

You should only be using GB if you need to create certain layouts. If you are just adding some paragraph like the page you linked then there is no need to use GB to over complicate things.
May 20, 2020 at 12:31 am #1293247WilliamThanks Leo,
I killed the GB container – but now I have no padding for the post.

Customizer doesn’t seem to control padding, and neither does GP Elements.
Do I need to use custom CSS for this?
I appreciate your help.
May 20, 2020 at 1:53 am #1293342DavidStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
edit the Post and look for the Page Builder Container meta box:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-builder-container/
Change this to Default.
Now the post will use the padding you set in the Customizer.NOTE: Contained and Full Width both remove the Customizer Padding.
