    Hey guys,
I can’t seem to figure out why the Ajax Search Magnifying glass disappears when on a mobile device and home page is responsive. Any ideas how to get the search back?
    Thanks

    Hi there,

you have the mobile header enabled. You can try hooking in the search form shortcode into:

    generate_inside_mobile_header

    Using a Hook Element:

    Hi,

Can you provide us the code you’ve added using the hook David provided? So we could check if there are any potential issues. Thank you. 🙂

What did you add to the Hook ? Can you share that here ?

    Hey guys,
I have created a Hook and named it ‘Mobile Search’. I then chose ‘generate_inside_mobile_header’ under settings > hook and ticked ‘Execute Shortcodes’.

Under display rules I set the location to ‘Entire Site’.

I followed the link https://docs.generatepress.com/article/hooks-element-overview/ This not mention any code, so I have not added any code anywhere.

But what is the Content of the Hook ? ie. inside the text field ?

There is none, I do not not know what to put in there? Where would I find the code to add to this?

OK, so I have added [wcas-search-form] and I now have a magnifying glass and Ajax Search. However, it is in the top left and I would rather place it either next to the cart or next to the Menu. Also, if I open the menu the search is invisible at the bottom of the menu. How can I make it visible?

I have searched Generatepress forums and google for this CSS but cannot find it.
    Thanks

Thats a tricky little thing to manouvere.
Can you change the Hook to generate_menu_bar_items

    Hey guys,
I couldn’t find a hook for generate_menu_bar_items but instead found generate_inside_mobile_menu which would work, but I can’t see the search link, its invisible?

Which versions of GP and GPP are you using ?
generate_menu_bar_item was added to the theme in 3.0 and in the elements list in GPP 1.12

    Hey,
As far as I am aware, I am completely up to date with Generatepress 3.02 and GP Premium 1.12.3. There is definitely no ‘generate_menu_bar_item’ under Hook.

Are you using the Flexbox structure?

You can check under Customizer > General.
