Again: unable to update GP Premium via standard WP update

Hi Tom, constantly i am running in troubles when trying to update an existing GP Premium installation which is BTW succesful activated... so I hav to do tis manually all too often :( The standard update via update link in plugin list translates to an error of authorization failure.
And when updating the theme (1.3.46) I repeatedly realized that the footer widgets margin left and right values where forgotten and resetted to 0. May be you fix this anyhow so these values won´t get lost? Looks weird sometimes with 0 sticking right at the pages edges...
Best regards,
Jürgen
Hi there,
The unauthorized error happens when the URL is different from the one it was activated on. For example you went from localhost to your live server, or added an SSL certificate (http to https): https://docs.generatepress.com/article/updating-issues/#getting-an-unauthorized-message
As for the footer widgets, you might need to adjust your footer widget area spacing in Customize > Layout > Footer.
Let me know :)
I may add that this update behaviour of GP Premium I reported before is true on Multisite installations. I just tried on a 'normal' installation and it was fine... ;)
OK, thanks for THAT FAST response – I am still glad I bought the GP Premium developer license and had the right intuition and trust in your them, plugin and support. Your development is constant, support is the BEST EVER and I recommend it highly... you probably got lots of other direct clients through these recommendations :)
I will figure it out what the reason of such failures is with my installation – and yes, and it might be the case, that the site was transferred from a development server to its 'final location'...
BTW, have a great time with your baby, proud father! You definitely have the right job (working @home) for this ;)

AND I have another nice site based entirely on the GP Premium task force of theme and premium plugin: a strongly graphic oriented lean & clean website for a german/netherland based security hitech company called L2...
The clients are glad :) And I am too, because I am a real GP addict and believer – it just works for me and delivers top nice looking results ;)
Very nice site! Like it a lot :)
The licensing and multi-site can be tricky. I need to reach out to the team that develops the license key system and see how we can improve it.
