    Hello,

I’ve installed the Geek theme from the GeneratePress library. When I install the untouched GP Child Theme, the CSS for the Archives Page Hero element stops displaying the categories correctly. The CSS is used to display the list of categories horizontally, however, when the Child Theme is active the list displays vertically.

Any thoughts on why this is happening?

    My system:
    GeneratePress version 3.1.3 (theme)
    GeneratePress Premium 2.1.2 (plugin)
    GenerateBlocks version 1.5.4 (plugin)
    WordPress 6.0.2
Running on Local. No other active plugins except the ones above.

    Hi Sue,

When you activate the child theme, the additional CSS (customizer > additional CSS) from the parent theme won’t be automatically added to the child theme.

You need to manually copy the CSS and paste it into your child theme’s style.css file or child theme’s customizer > additional CSS 🙂
