After creating child theme certain customiser options break

Hello,
Recently created an enabled a child theme for my GP site.
Copied across all my additional CSS to the style.css file and thats all fine.
Problem is with certain customiser changes not staying!
If I go into the customiser and select for example the header bottom padding I can see it is set to 2px, however this is not reflected on the live site.
If I change the number from 2 the preview displays correctly, but if I click save it then again reverts back to what I think must be the default 40px.
Sounds like a caching error, but I have cleared all the caches in WP and Cloudflare and my PC!!
Any ideas?

Ended up working out what this was!
Transpires the WP Hide plugin was causing problems and needed some config changes, but then everything fired back into life!
