After Content - excerpt only?

Is there a way to use the After Content hook so it only applies to excerpts?
Alternatively, is there a snippet that functions as an after_excerpt hook?
I'm attempting to insert a social share shortcode so it appears only on blog post excerpts but am having no luck finding anything in the knowledgebase about it.
