adjust the width of the background color separate from my content

Hi there,
quick question:
I am using Generate Blocks to structure my content and to add background colour to parts of my content.
However I want that background color to full the full width from left to right. My content is set to a certain width which now also adapts to the color.
How can I adjust the width of the background color separate from my content?

Looks like both the inner and outer containers here are set to contained.
I also noticed that you seem to have a Grid block wrapped outside of everything which isn't necessary?

You'd only want to use Grid blocks for creating columns. Try using the block navigation to find it and remove it.
