    Hi,

I would like to be able to control the width of content in sections.

Would it be best to use a table? If so, how would I do that?

I know that I can choose between full width content or contained in each section but I am not able to adjust the amount of containment.

For example, I’d like to have an image, say, on the left, and text on the right of it. And be able to squeeze them together closer.

I hope this makes sense. I’m up after a Nyquil night and not completely smart here… πŸ˜‰

    Hi there,

Sounds like you are looking to create columns in sections: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/creating-columns/

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks Leo,

I did install and try Lightweight Grid Columns.
It’s great but it looks like I can’t format the text or add images to the content section.
If I go to text editor from visual – it appears I could code it here.
Is this what you would recommend?

    Thanks

For plugin our new suggestion is actually Gridable.

I personally prefer the built in grid πŸ™‚

Leo, it looks like this plugin is having a negative effect on my load time.
Is there a way around this?

Hmm not really other than not using the plugin.

Try the built in grid system maybe? Should be easy to use.

Can you direct me to a doc on the built-in grid system?
I can’t find anything on it.

By the way, I’ve been using Generatepress for one day and I’m a total convert.
Best theme product I’ve ever used – hands down. Awesome!!
And obviously the support is top notch.
    Thanks for existing.

Glad you are enjoying it so far πŸ™‚

It’s right below the plugin suggestions: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/creating-columns/#using-built-in-unsemantic-grid
