Thanks for responding so quickly. Fernando.
Please see below my Admin credentials.

Ah, now I understand.
Very, very helpful.
Thank you, Fernando !

Wait, is there a way to
set it up that the URL
does not appear when the
cursor moves over the country?

See
https://understand-culture.com/languages/#

In other words, clicking on "Languages"
opens up the menu with the list of country
names. Users then simply click on the country
of choice without that country's URL being
displayed.

I imbedded the submenu on the page
with content about Germany, but in
the Ukrianian language. In order to
see what it looks like.

Please see:
https://understand-culture.com/німеччина/

On both wide screen and on mobile.
On mobile it looks a bit confusing.

Thanks, Fernando.

Thanks, again, Fernando.
Very helpful.

I got it to work.
Then made a mistake.
And goofed it up.

I tried to start from the beginning.
See page name: "Test Translations".

You can log in as Admin.
Please take a look.

Thanks !

That's odd. Can you try recreating the Navigation Block from scratch again?

Hi Fernando,

Not odd at all. I am perfectly capable
of goofing things up.

I recreated the navigation block several times.
Let me describe the steps I am taking:

-- in the page entitled "Test Translation"
-- hit +-sign, choose "Navigation"
-- click on Document Overview (3-line hamburger)
-- highlight "Navigation"
-- in righthand menu choose "Block"
-- click on 3-vertical dots
-- scroll down to Import Classic Menus and select "Translations"
-- update, save.

I then view the page and see:
https://understand-culture.com/test-translations/

Oh, wow that is super weird and not what that block should be doing. Although reading around a few other forums it seems other users have had similar issues.

It could be a plugin conflict or it could just be WP 6.2 has a few bugs.

What happens if you delete the Translations menu, and create a new menu with just the one page item ? Does that also print out ore menu items then it should ?

Let me try that out, Dave.

Please keep in mind, however, that the
way I currently have the translations
linked to the two-letter ISO abbreviations
is for not just fine.

Should I, at some point, add a handful more
of translations, then I'll most likely need
the extra menu.

I created a new menu, Dave.
And then added just one submenu.
Same problem.

Let's mark this as resolved.
As written above it is not yet acute.

And I had drawing on so much of your
time and that of Fernando and Ying.

You folks have bigger problems to solve.

Thanks !

I feel bad that i recommended something that looks to have some real inherent issues. Ill do some more testing.
Feel free to re-open and thanks for your patience.

Absolutely no reason to feel back, Dave.
For the following reasons:

First, I learned how to create a submenu.
That will come in handy at another point.

Second, you folks will work out the bugs.
I am very sure of that.

Third, my current approach with the two-letter
ISO abbreviations is a good solution. It works.

Big thanks !

Thanks for the understanding, i am now going to bash my head on WordPress core blocks to see if i can find out how to easily break it and what they need to fix it :) .

Don't hurt yourself, Dave.
