I just updated a few things on my site and I’m not sure if this was from a wordpress update or generatepress update however now there’s a additional css category under the customizing option does this mean the simple css plugin is no longer needed?
The new additional CSS section in the Customizer is now in WP core. It is theme specific, so if you change themes, your CSS will be gone (not good if you’ve added CSS for plugins you’re using).
The main thing about Simple CSS I find so useful is the per-page CSS meta box. If you want to make changes only on specific pages, you can do so without conditionals or body classes.
Well explained, anyway I’ll be staying with Simple Css not that I plan on changing themes but you made a good point about the specific page css option that can definitely be useful.
