adding widgets (social links) in footer

in customize > layout > footer I've set 3 widgets to be displayed and I've added custom HTML in widgets but it did not show up in the theme. I am using elementor template footer at the time being.
Can anybody shed some light on how should I do this? Thank you !
Hi there,
if your using an Elementor theme template then it removes the themes footer - so they two cannot be easily used together.
Yes i am using elementor. Do you mean that I can only choose either one?
Thats correct - If you use the Elementor Theme builder / templates they replace the GP Theme templates and any of the Hooks it requires to display things like the Footer Widgets.
