Hi there,

Simplest method would be to use the Off Canvas Panel:

This has its own widget area which you could use a plugin to add social icons. It also has its own Menu location ( like Primary Navigation ) so you could have a separate menu specifically for mobile including those social links.

1. Install Light Weight Social Icons Plugin:

2. Go to Customizer > Widgets > Off Canvas

– Add a Social Icons Widget
– Add a Search Widget

Off Canvas is built into GeneratePress.
The Search Widget is built into WordPress.

The Social icons – of course you can code it – but why bother when the plugin does it for you.

Not really – plugin was also developed by Tom – so it is lightweight.

Instead you can either use:

a. the built in core Social Links Block.

or

b. the GenerateBlocks Buttons Block to create your own social buttons
