January 20, 2020 at 5:04 am #1137747 Amit Hey Leo, can you tell me how to add social icons in menu items (in red) ??? January 20, 2020 at 5:14 am #1137754 DavidStaff Customer Support Hi there, Simplest method would be to use the Off Canvas Panel: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/off-canvas-panel-overview/ This has its own widget area which you could use a plugin to add social icons. It also has its own Menu location ( like Primary Navigation ) so you could have a separate menu specifically for mobile including those social links. Install Light Weight Social Icons Plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/lightweight-social-icons/ 2. Go to Customizer > Widgets > Off Canvas – Add a Social Icons Widget – Add a Search Widget January 21, 2020 at 5:50 am #1138988 Amit Is it not possible by CSS and coding?? January 21, 2020 at 7:17 am #1139264 DavidStaff Customer Support Off Canvas is built into GeneratePress. The Search Widget is built into WordPress. The Social icons – of course you can code it – but why bother when the plugin does it for you. January 21, 2020 at 9:02 am #1139385 Amit Will there be any impact on load time when I use the plugin?? January 21, 2020 at 9:12 am #1139395 DavidStaff Customer Support Not really – plugin was also developed by Tom – so it is lightweight. January 3, 2023 at 7:14 am #2482085 Mohammed 1. Install Light Weight Social Icons Plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/lightweight-social-icons/ This plugin doesn’t have WhatsApp and Tiktok icons January 3, 2023 at 9:20 am #2482417 DavidStaff Customer Support Hi there, this is an old topic. Instead you can either use: a. the built in core Social Links Block. or b. the GenerateBlocks Buttons Block to create your own social buttons Author Posts Viewing 14 posts - 1 through 14 (of 14 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
