[Resolved] Adding related posts to top bar

Hi there,

I was wondering if there was a way to add/show related posts (or posts of any category) on the top bar? I actually was looking for something like this site’s top bar https://www.elegantthemes.com/preview/Extra/ (the one above the logo/menu bar).

I actually checked a lot of plugins including this one https://wordpress.org/plugins/breaking-news-ticker/ but I think why to invest resources in a plugin when (if) GP can do it.

I was a bit skeptical about that plugin too because it was last updated 2 years ago and not many reviews too.

In case our GP cannot do it, can you suggest a workaround?

Hi there,

GP doesn’t have any built in related posts functionality.

There should be lots of plugins out there though, I’d recommend trying a few that can be added as widgets then you can add it using the top bar widget area: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/top-bar-widget-area/
