adding full wide image to header?

Hi. I've built a website with free GP by using free elementor. I want to add a full width header image. I've just installed GP Pro and I'm stuck. I've activated the header section in the list. But don't know how to proceed from here?
I'm not a techie.
Best,
website is http://www.unastclair.com
I've managed to add an image now but there's too much white space around it. Doh!
Hi there,
Try reducing the header padding: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-padding/
Thanks Leo. Brill. How can I change the nav bar. the one with home, contact, about. If I want to change color or put an image there?
Many thanks,
Steve

Thanks Leo. Nice One!
Added an image to background images - primary navigation which should line up with the header image. But it doesn't. Any ideas?
thanks
