I’ve looked through the forum for info on this and nothing I came across seems to work for me. I tried using a text box in the widget as well as Custom HTML and I end up with %copy% %current_year% followed by a link to my site homepage. I would like the copyright symbol followed by the year and hyperlink of site name. Thank you. February 2, 2018 at 8:48 am #486519 LeoStaff Customer Support Can you try the Top Tip section of this article? http://www.zaposphere.com/display-the-current-year-auto-updating-copyright-footer/ February 2, 2018 at 9:16 am #486543 Janine Hi, Leo. I did as you instructed and it works. But does this mean that I will have to manually update the year going forward? Thank you. February 2, 2018 at 10:22 am #486602 LeoStaff Customer Support You entered it as PHP right? Did it show 2018 without you entering 2018? February 2, 2018 at 10:34 am #486618 Janine No, it didn’t. I entered the years. February 2, 2018 at 10:35 am #486619 Janine But I didn’t do the second part of the Top Tips, because I don’t really understand where I would place that code. Thank you. February 2, 2018 at 3:10 pm #486816 LeoStaff Customer Support Ahh that requires PHP. Might be easier to just use a plugin that gives you shortcode: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/jonradio-current-year-and-copyright-shortcodes/ Author Posts Viewing 9 posts - 1 through 9 (of 9 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
