Adding Comment Count to Single Blog Post

So what I've got now is OK, but what I'd ideally like in entry-meta is the following:

1. The date in the form "Updated Feb 15, 2021; Posted Sep 22, 2019" – in other words, both dates.
2. The comments count/link with the little SVG icon to the left (I will probably float this comments span right or on the next line).
3. An "Edit" link for logged-in users for each post displayed on both archive and single pages.

Will the forthcoming version 1.13.0 make it easier to achieve these goals? Should I just wait?

Yes, GPP 1.13 will make this whole lot easier. You'll be able to create them using a Block Element.
