Adding buttons to blog posts

Hi guys,
I have read through the forum and have seen a couple of related posts to what I am about to ask, but the solution isn't working for me.
I want to add some buttons to my blog posts, so I have added the code to additional CSS as per this forum topic:

But when I add the classes, it shows everything as HTML, not as a button :-/
I am new to this, so I apologise if I have missed something simple.

These css codes provide a very simple looking type of button. Please tell how can i make a full width button with hover effect and it should be a 3D button
Please open a new topic and provide an example of what you are after.
