Adding button with icon to top bar

Hello,
Is there a way to place a button with an icon in the top bar? I'm working within the Dev site from the site library using both GP Premium and GenerateBlocks. I have a custom search bar (added with the Custom HTML widget) that I would like to display a Login button (with a user icon) directly alongside.
Thank you!
Hi Catherine,
Any chance you can link us to the site in question?
You can use the private information field.
Let me know :)
Hi Ying - thanks so much for getting back to me! The site is on my local host at the moment but I will provide a link to an alternate site with similar functionality in the private info field.
Hi there,
i am not sure what else you have going in your topbar - but it may be simpler to NOT USE the top bar.
Instead create a Block Element:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-overview/
Build your top bar with GenrateBlocks in the block element and then set the Hook to generate_before_header
That sounds like a fantastic solution! Thank you!
Hi again -
One more quick question, please. With the block element, what I would be creating is a grid with three components. However, when I add in containers or grids to the block element it stops the rest of my site from being full width. Is there a way to resolve this?
Thanks so much!

Hmm I'm not sure why that would happen.
We will need to see the page in question in order to debug.
Can you create a staging site for it?
Hi again,
I deleted and recreated the top bar element and the issue resolved itself. I must have made some type of error the first time around. All is working well now! Thanks so much for your help.
No problem :)
