adding blog posts to a section on one page website

i am creating a one page website, in which i plan to have a blog section on it like i do with an about me, blog section, contact me section etc...
my question is: how do I add a blog section whereby posts automatically update as i upload new ones, display posts e.g carousel etc or any other simple method to display posts without having to create a different page just for posts...
when you click on the post then it will take you to the post on a different page etc.
can you help?

i have the wp show post, but can't configure it to show the posts like i want it to...a nice design for example, or a post carousel etc...does that require css or a different plug in?
