Adding active state to button

I'd like to use a set of GenerateBlocks buttons as a sort of subnav menu for a few pages. When adding this as a block element, I don't see any easy way to assign or style the active state for a button (e.g., when the block is viewed on Page 1, the Page 1 button should have active state and styling). Is there an easy way to do this with GP or do I need to just add some custom javascript to make it happen? Thanks in advance.
