Adding a image as a footer?

Hi

I want to add a image to match my header image to the footer area which is currently black.

I can't see anywhere it allows you to add a image to footer as it does header image.

Can you please advise if this is able to be done.

Thanks

No that doesn't work because it doesn't allow to add a image. It is asking to create a custom menu which is not what I want to do.

It seems the theme itself has not got the facility to do this, any other ideas? The footer image is the same width and the header one 787 w x 154 h.

Thanks

Hmm...

Ok what would the HTML code be to do that please?

Thank you I did that, the image is there but not fully stretched across the width of the footer. Also the copyright, name of site and a custom menu I have in the footer are sitting to right of it, so I looks out of place.

Oh well thanks anyway. May be something you can consider adding this feature to future updates of GeneratePress.

Thanks

Can you provide a link to your site so I know what you are trying to achieve?

I'm pretty certain that it can be accomplished already.

Where would you like to add that image?

Hi

Thanks, to the top of the black footer area somewhere just so that it looks like it is flowing on from the page with Copyright & Legal Stuff Menu sitting under footer image.

Is there anyway the footer image can show the same width as the header, because they are actually same size, however currently the footer image width is not equalling the size of the header?

First, set your footer bar alignment to center: Customize > Layout > Footer.

Then, make it so this is your copyright area content:

<div class="copyright-stuff">
    © 2017 | Fast Start Internet Marketing
</div>
<img src="https://faststartinternetmarketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/footer-1.jpg">

The sizes are different as they are different images:

Hey Tom

Thanks for the reply.

I have followed your instructions. It looks better than it did before, but how do I get it to be the same width as the header given they are both the same width? Also is there anyway I can get the same matching colour background as the header instead of black or what ever dark colour it is?

Here is what the footer looks like now after following your instructions:

Thanks :)

Hey guys

You were so right about the images being two different sizes... duh! Thanks so much for your patience!

I ended up finding where I can insert a image into the footer area. The image is the same width as the header now - 1440 px x 234 px. The image seems to have been cropped automatically so part of the image is cut off. What size does the image need to be to sit in the footer area and show completely?

Here is what it looks like now:

Thanks
