Add search widget without optional placeholder - icon only

Hi,
I want to add the search widget to the header menu section, but there's not enough space. I want to show the search icon ONLY, and I want to remove the optional placeholder. Could you please advise how to do it?

Hi Lyn,
Go to customizer > layout > primary navigation, choose enable for the navigation search option:

Then you should be able to see a magnify icon in your primary navigation.
