Add padding between dynamic featured image and dynamic post content in Elements

Were you trying to assign this template to the category archive page?

If so, the location rule you are using is incorrect, it should've beenPost category archive > Daily reach.

I changed it to Category Archives, but the padding changes did not show. All of my other changes on the template show, just not the padding. I am using the template in a query loop to be shown on one page only, excluded from the main blog, single pages, and archives.

The Content Template is displaying on the specific archive page, however, it isn’t applying to the posts.

I have the settings exactly the way your screenshot shows since I don't want it to show on all posts, only Daily Reach category posts. I don't follow what you mean. (Ying had me change the settings to Category Archive, but I changed it back.)

My goals:

1. Daily Reach category posts are styled different than others
2. The Daily Reach page has a Daily Reach logo that replaces my site logo
3. The Daily Reach logo doesn't link to the home page
4. Daily Reach category posts don't show in Previous and Next navigation
5. There won't be an excerpt or "Read More" so no one can go to a Single Post Page for that category
6. Query Loop will only show 10 Daily Reach posts at a time, and a plugin I have archives other Daily Reach posts

I want to schedule posts to post daily, so I need a blog format instead of just a static page.

The Display rule location is already set to the archive of daily reach, setting the “apply to” rule shouldn’t matter since all posts in the daily reach archive is from “daily-reach” category.

Moreover, I would just like to test if changing it to all posts will make the Content Template apply. Otherwise, if it doesn’t apply even with all posts set, there might be a different issue.

I am so sorry, Fernando. I don't see where my display rule location is set to archive of daily reach. In Elements? I am still not following. Feel free to change settings.

The reason we’re testing this is to see if the term name is wrong. I believe it should be deut-dr-3011-category. But nonetheless, you can set that to All posts since it’s already set in the display in that archive in the display rule location. All post in that archive are already from that category which is why it isn't needed.

Note: About a year ago, I encountered this problem when I was using WPSPP and added CSS to Additional CSS to fix it globally, but I don't see anywhere in Elements to add CSS. I am trying to move everything from WPSPP since it is no longer supported.

I made the change to Post Category Archive and it did not add spacing between the featured image and dynamic post...sorry.

Perhaps the Element Custom Template isn't what I have showing?

I just found this video tutorial and in it, Kyle says that using a Dynamic Featured Image limits the controls available, such as padding. He shows how to maximize what's available, design-wise. I'm giving it a go, and will let you know how it turns out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNBsebU5uQw

The page you linked is a static page, you are using a query loop block on that page, it has nothing to do with the block element - content template you created!

Please be noted that the block element - content template is to create a content template for the default WP archive pages.

To change the layout of that static page, you can edit the query loop directly in that page editor.
